Functional fitness classes are strength based to increase lean muscle mass through functional movements. With a combination of barbells, dumbbells, and good old body weight, you’ll build muscle and burn fat. Each class focuses on a different body part or movement pattern so you get strong and fit from head to toe. We recommend at least one strength class per week to see the best results on your wellness journey.
Don’t think pilates will let you off easy. Our Reformer Pilates classes deliver a good sweat session to build muscle. You’ll learn how to specifically target the small muscle groups to give you well-rounded strength and full body toning. These classes are the perfect complement to high intensity or heavy strength sessions.
Sweat X Cycle
SWEAT X is a THRIVE original – our signature spin class that torches calories and pumps you up! Cycle classes pioneered interval training before it was cool, and there’s a reason it’s still popular today. A single class increases muscular endurance and lung capacity and keeps you burning calories throughout the day. Whether you’re a cycle fiend or pushing pedals for the first time, SWEAT X is accessible to all fitness levels and all are welcome. Ride at your level to get the most out of every session.
If you’re looking for customised, personal sessions, our private training is for you. You’ll work one-on-one with a THRIVE trainer to set goals, measure progress, and be your best self!
This is ideal if you’ve recently experienced an injury, need support during or after pregnancy, or just prefer a more personal approach. We’ll recommend an ideal mix of training and make sure you can perform all activities safely without risk of injury. Whether you’re training for specific performance or just want individual accountability, our trainers are excited to work with you towards your goals.
